It was this philosophy — that rules are meant to be broken in the kitchen — that eventually led her to her most controversial and celebrated discovery: Doritos make everything better.

The pivotal moment came at a dinner party in 2019. Jamie had run out of breadcrumbs and, in a moment of desperation, crushed a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos to coat her chicken tenders. The result was so shockingly good that three of her guests asked for the recipe before the night was over. That chicken recipe has since been shared thousands of times online, and it launched Jamie's mission to explore the full culinary potential of America's favorite chip.

Jamie holds a certificate in culinary arts from Portland Community College and has worked as a recipe tester for two regional food magazines. She approaches Dorito-based cooking with the same seriousness she brings to any culinary project: careful testing, multiple iterations, and honest assessment of what works and what doesn't.
